The Weightier Matter of a Minister

Colossians 1:25 kjv
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God.

Amplified says; In it I became a minister in accordance with the divine stewardship which was entrusted to me for you [as its object and for your benefit], to make the Word of God fully known [among you].

God has entrusted His word to us, by the time one entrusts you with something, they believe you can be reliable. It is Christ that we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom, that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ.
We are trusted moreso to feed His flock , as Jesus asked Peter to feed His sheep ..It is trust because what you feed the sheep with really matters, either you feed them with something authentic and genuine or something contrary that may be detrimental to their growth not nurturing or building them.

John 21:15
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

Him that is entrusted ought therefore to provide what is essentially required; rightfully teaching what is truly fully in the word. It’s not about a deep deep revelation , to teach or pastor , rather the fullness of His word delivered rightly. Paul says, I have made fully known His word, it’s not the word in it’s bits but in it’s wholeness, fully touching every aspect of Christ, it is not half applicability of the word where some deem some scriptures unapplicable,  scripture says,

2 Timothy: 3:16-17
¹⁶All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, ¹⁷so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

It is all scripture, not some, be it old testament or new testament, there is no Jesus without the old testament, reason being that Jesus didn’t explain the scriptures without referring to the old testament , even when he was explaining their fulfilment so that the disciples may perceive them.

Luke 24: 44
He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”

When men seek to teach a deep deep revelation, they end up watering down the word misleading many! To be a teacher is a good thing , to be a pastor is wonderful and to be a prophet is just amazing, however if we don’t teach and stick to the fullness of the message in it’s soundness , many slip off from the right thing. (Luke 24:24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.”)- basically a missed understanding.

Mathew:18:6
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
When Jesus says that a millstone be hang on one who causes one of the little ones (to sin, or hinders one to right conduct or thought, I perceive it is so much beyond that, for in teaching we create a guiding step that would lead people in a direction or lifestyle they would take. This is what I would deem as the weightier matter for a minister, it is not a small thing to be a minister, moreso a teacher of the word.

Anyone who believes is considered as God’s child ( 1 John:2:18).
Wrong teaching gives you a wrong doctrine, Jesus had alot to unteach because the pharasees had taught alot of wrong.
It is very hard to unteach or unlearn, no wonder that Paul kept emphasis on teaching the word in it’s ideal revelation, because what has been committed unto us is much deeper than we think, what is taught has the power to change lives or destroy them, the power to enlighten or darken, the power to entramp or free!! What we teach, preach really matters , leave complicated topics out of it!! Many souls are accountable unto you, so if we impart the wrong message, many are lost.

Prophetic Utterance:

I am spirit filled, entrusted to lead others in the ways of Christ, taking oversight thereof , not by constraint but willingly, not for filthy lucre but of a ready mind, neither a Lord but being a servant over God’s heritage, to guide and to nurture, not to impose self made revelations.
Halleluya

Guiding Text:

Mathew 28:19-20
¹⁹Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

1 Timothy 1:3
³As I urged you when I was on my way to Macedonia, stay on where you are at Ephesus in order that you may warn and admonish and charge certain individuals not to teach any different doctrine

Wow, this is very helpful. Glory to God for this word. God help me to teach the word in its fullness and not to impose self-made revelations. Amen and Amen.
