Acts 27:10-11
¹⁰Paul saying, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage ( long journey by sea or space ) will be attended with disaster and much heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but of our lives also.¹¹However, the centurion paid greater attention to the pilot and to the owner of the ship than to what Paul said.
I met one who said, you are positioned in a place where you have no authority, basically you are useless and can’t help me, incidentally he shuts out and gives me silence, coincidentally the same person gets in touch by mistake desperately in need of help!! So one he deemed to be worthless , turned out to be the solution!!
Going back to the main text, as Paul and the prisoners were sailing, Paul advises that there will be trouble and the ship plus everything in it will be destroyed but Paul ‘s advice was disregarded in preference for one who holds a natural higher position. This jeopardised their lives as they faced a amount of distress in a storm. Paul though without inspired knowledge gave the rightful advice that saved everyone. The one whose advice was despised becomes the solution center , the encourager that spiked their hope when they were hopeless, the one that never gave up on His word ( the advise given) but advised accordingly. He wasn’t a pilot neither a commander, He possessed the wisdom of God , He gave the right saving advice. As the sailors faced a distress of death amidst the strong wind, Paul emerged as their solution.
Acts 27:21-22
²¹After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss.²² But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed.
Beyond that, Nathaniel despised Jesus by measure of where He came from, claiming nothing good can come out of Nazareth, nevertheless did he know that he was the long awaited Messiah ( John 1:43-51)! David was despised for being a youth nevertheless he defeated the biggest giant, undefeatable yet defeated ( 1 Samuel 17:28, 33 ).
We are despised by some as incapable or un able to help or give solutions nevertheless, child of God, confidently pride in the God in You, persistently keep being the one you are, even though despised, you’re the world’s solution center, arise and shine, give counsel, let out that idea, encourage and let God’s purpose in You prevail!!
Prophetic Utterance:
God’s purpose prevails in me, though I be despised , I shall not weaken nor lose my being but I shall persist in that which I am called to be , the solution to problematic situations , a gate way to life’s solutions.
Halleluya
