Fear against Trust

Isaiah 51:1-3
¹Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.² Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.³For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Isaiah says ; look to the rock from which you were hewn and to the hole in the  from which you were dug;
Look to the rock from which you were hewn!! Are you your own creator, did you fashion and define your own destiny or isn’t it God that made you! Surely, if He is  a rock and you are one hewned from Him, then stand. In the same way He created You, He made a perfect Blue print for your life, though your life be uncertain, though fear may drift in and worry embraces you like a child embracing its mother, He is definitely into You and having your back only if you lean on Him.
God is calling us to reflect on the past victories, He that muiltiplied a single man ( Abraham) that seemed to be without seed , worried and uncertain of what the future holds is ascertained by God’s assured promise of having his own seed even when he thought his servant would be his heir  ( Genesis:15:3 ff), God caused him a muiltiplication that a seed became many nations. Isaiah proceeds to call us to look unto Sarah, her barreness a pit full of hopelessness but out of her barreness , God pulled you forth to a nation you are, look at where He has brought you from, it is therefore not a small thing for God to raise you up and turn your wilderness into the beauty once in Eden, for a joy and gladness that was never beheld!!
King Asa forgot about His past victories through God, against rivals, say, the Ethiopians, mighty and well equiped and numbered, ( 2 Chronicles14:9), He forgot that point of trust and victory and apparently great fear gripped in when King Basha of Israel set up against Him which caused Him to make an alliance with Syria ( 2 Chronicles 16:1:4). This seemed good and worked for a moment, but because of that , they lost peace ( 2 Chronicles 16:9).
In a place where we fail to trust God, we drown in to overwhelming storms or floods, swept away because we choose to look else where other than to God, like Israel and Judah, the flood sweeps you over ( Isaiah 8:7-8).

Isaiah 8:12-13
¹²“Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.¹³The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread.

So in a place wherre trust fails in God we cause an alliance with the enemy but regardless of what fears we have, we shouldn’t give in but continue in alliance with God.
God desires for a people who can solely trust in Him, a blameless people, God is  searching for someone who is solely trusting in His power, He is very ready to show case His power in your life if only you allow Him to.

2 Chronicles 16:9
⁹For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him. You have done foolishly in this; therefore, from now on you shall have wars.

Let God make your way, Let Him lead the way for He knows the way, no panic, no murmuring, let us know that He who started a good work in us shall surely bring it to fulfilment, He will do exceedingly abundantly more than we think or imagine, working out everything for our good, for He knows how to work a good work in us
When fear drifts in and trust fades away, when your flesh takes the lead and you act in utter distrust, seeking out a way outside God, just know that, that which you fear is only but unknown yet known by the all knowing God, He that knows the unknown will surely make clear the path for you.
