Psalms 139:16
¹⁶Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Thine eyes did see my substance!! The psalmist proceeds to show that your life is detailed in God’s book, for as long as you are created by Him , you are in Him , your name has from the foundations of the earth been in that book!! And Ephesians proceeds to say that He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world!!
Ephesians 1:4
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Anything created by God is in Him and He has written in His book of life which is the book of the lamb, to this even Moses makes a plea to God when God seeks to wipe out Israel for worshipping a golden calf and says: Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written ( Exodus 32:32).
Was Moses saved then? When we come to the book of revelation, tagged to the book of life is the statement “from the foundation of the world,” the implication is that this book has been there from the foundation of the world and everyone’s name is in it except it be blotted out ( Revelation 13:8 ) Wow!!
Romans 11:22
²²Then note and appreciate the gracious kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s gracious kindness to you–provided you continue in His grace and abide in His kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off (pruned away).AMP
Like Israel, You are marked out, appointed and foreknown. From the beginning, once you come to the awakening of that, you did realize that from before the foundations of the world, you were in His book of life and your reaffirmation by your confession in Christ’s Lordship is what seals your name there, as it is written the just shall live by faith, it is by faith that you are re-stablished continuously before Him, continue in His grace, abide in His kindness hence Paul advises the gentiles as unto those that have been engrafted or included in Christ to continue in God’s grace and kindness otherwise they would be cut off, and Jesus affirms , I am the vine, abide in me and I in You… (John 15:4).
It is a question of belief and unbelief to be grafted in or out, stay in or be blotted out, so Paul says that if those Jews who had fallen out don’t continue in their unbelief, they will be engrafted back in!! Further He states in
(Romans 10:10
For with the Heart a man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation!! )
Romans 11:23
²³And even those others [the fallen branches, Jews], if they do not persist in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again.
Do You realize that your name is in the book of life, that it’s only through faith that your name is nailed in? Christ is that nail that has pegged you in a secure place. He is the nail that was moved and hewn down so that You may be pegged in and have un deniable limitless access to eternity, for through Him we have doors opened but closed to them that believe Him not, for He is the door and truly ; the way the truth and life!!
John 10:9
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
So Ezra brings this grace to remembrance, that for a little while grace has been shown unto us and to cause us a nail in the holy place and Isaiah affirms that Christ is this nail in which we are secured!
Isaiah 22:23
And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.
Prophetic Utterance:
I believe in Christ’s Lordship,
in whom am made holy and without blame,
I am chosen
I am marked out , appointed and foreknown.
I am endued with this knowledge.
