Discernment

John 5:6-8
⁶When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?⁷The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.⁸Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

When Jesus asked this impotent man if he wanted to get well, it had nothing to do with faith but choice, whilst he was willing to get well, in a lamentation on the Angel’s stirring of water, the unavailability to place him in the water justifying his suffering long. A man too familiar with failure couldn’t discern when the Christ, creator of the universe,  the bread of life , the life giving water came to him.
While the woman with a blood condition took a choice to to touch a garment, it was based her ability to discern the healing source.

Had he discerned that He was the Christ, he wouldn’t rant about the angel and of “no man to help me”. Like this man so many beliers have boxed in God to the human mind forgetting that God is a Spirit who is limitless, we want God to work by our limitations. “we want an angel to appear and stir the waters and a friend to put us in the pool” forgetting that “as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are Gods  ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts are greater than ours.
God doesn’t even have tosay “rise, take up thy bed and walk”. We must simply discern His presence like the lady of the blood conditionand take action.
How many times have we aborted great prophecies and miracles over our lives because it seemed too far fetched and unfamiliar?
Had Moses discerned that the rock was the Christ, he would not have hit it and trigger God’s anger and thus enter the promised land.
Had Samson discerned that Delilah was an enemy,  his life wouldn’t have ended the way it ended.
Men like Obed Edom were blessed because He housed the covenant box of God, while to some the covenant box was perceived as a snare because Uzzah touched it and died. To obed Edom it was a source of blessing that made even King David jealous, how can the same thing represent a curse to one and a blessing to another?, the difference is in discernment for some viewed the covenant box as a source of dread,  to Obed Edom it was the manifest presence of God and thus a fullness of Joy and pleasure for evermore.

Genesis 28:16
¹⁶And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

…when Jacob sent away all his distraction, His cattle,  wives, children and servants  and was left alone where God came and met him, this time he wrestled with God until his name was changed from Jacob to Israel the beloved nation of God.

Genesis 32:24,26-28
²⁴And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day…
²⁶And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.²⁷And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.²⁸And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

1 Corinthians 2:14
[14]But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Prophetic Utterance:
I am not led by sight but by the Spirit of the living God
I posses both natural and super natural wisdom  by the Spirit of God
I have access to the mind of God through His Word
By the Spirit of God that teaches me all things , I am able to discern.
Hallelujah!!!

1 Samuel 16:7
⁷But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Philippians 1:9-10
⁹And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;¹⁰That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
