Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Call unto me and I will answer thee: To call unto God holds with it acknowledging God’s sovereignty, recognizing that He is higher than you and is able to bail you out. We have the assurance of God answering or responding, you just need to listen and heed. Calling Unto God is beyond asking for this and that, it’s not how you want it, rather that if we call we let him talk, lead and guide us as relates our call.
‘And show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not:’
The text holds with it revealing something unknown. It is known that usually when we call to God we have a plan or an anticipated way we want things to go, we already have a way forward, an answer that we are seeking approval for, it’s like the Pharisee asking Jesus a question yet he has a specific answer he wants. We should call to God knowing that He reveals that which we seemingly know not, approach him ready to receive the unknown and embrace it.
Luke 22:42
Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
Jesus prayed to God to be released from the cross, it’s what he wanted, nevertheless, He said, let your will be done…In other words, Lord I want this but what you want is much better than what I want. God has greater bigger plans for us than what we think, let us not limit Him with our meagre expectations and boldly approach him to know the un known regarding anything!! As scriptures has it.
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
I will show you great and mighty things: God’s ‘great’ is not your ‘great’, His greatness surpasses our imagination, exceedingly abundantly above our expectations.
Know this:
No matter how great a thinker, believer, achiever You are, it is too too small and cannot be compared to the lowest point of God’s plan if God and low can be in the same sentence.
Scale the heights, go for greater, be the greater steward and achieve more with the little in your hand, God created light out of darkness.
Prophetic Utterance:
Beyond my eyes, beyond the tone, for what i see, what I hear, is just a glimpse, of what is near. In You I find infinite possibilities and fulfillment.
