A worshippers heart

 Worship- proskuneō (grk)

Worship according to the concordance bible means to kiss like a dog licking his master’s hand as seen in (Mtt 2:2)

Hebrews 12:28-29

²⁸Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:²⁹For our God is a consuming fire.

We need to understand that to honor God, it is to worship God. In the midst of thousands and thousands and thousands of angels that worship God, your voice is heard. You are not doing God a favour…..it is a privilege to serve and worship Him with all of who You are.

Give God true worship; what is this true worship that God requires of us? It is not about going to a certain mountain because we expect God to be there, God is not confined in one place…He is Omnipresent and requires that those that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth

John 4:23-24

²³But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.²⁴God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

When you are worshipping in Spirit, there’s no You left, your flesh ceases to exist, no titles, no degrees, your accolades vanish, we worship to an audience of one being God alone, it doesn’t matter who is standing, sitting next to You.

Truth; is the word of God (sanctify them with your word, for your word is truth John 17:17)

The Lord is worthy and demands true worship. True worship is from the heart, offered without distractions or feelings

Psalms 51:17

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

The story of the woman with the alabaster box is a perfect example of a broken and contrite heart. She risked her pride, she didn’t care whether she was humiliated many called her a sinner, she didn’t care about the money, she bought the precious ointment worth a years wage, all she wanted was to be accepted, just to be in Jesus’s presence and worship at His feet. She wanted communion with Jesus (Matthew 26:6-13)

And indeed a broken and contrite heart the Lord will not despise because this worship was accepted by Jesus and a memorial of this worship was to be preached to the ends of the earth.

Matthew 26:13

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

Negligence is neglecting duties, responsibilities, etc; lacking attention, care, or concern. Let us not neglect what we have been created to do, we were created to worship therefore let us worship in spirit and in truth. Let us take God more seriously. Let our worship be true and from the heart.

2 Chronicles 29:11

My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense.

Prophetic Utterance:

My worship is a sweet perfume unto God

My worship will be preached to the ends of the earth,

My Worship is a lesson unto generations,

My worship opens doors for me,
