Words are life, words create! From the very beginning we see that the first time words were used was not for communication but for creation.
Words have power to create whether they be negative words or positive words. The question is, what are your words creating?
As Christians the Bible urges us that every word we speak should be seasoned with salt
Colossians 4:6
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
We all know what salt does, it adds flavor to food, it acts as a healing agent, salt preserves. So every word that we speak should be able to preserve someone, give healing and edify someone.
Of course not everyone will receive from you, the Bible says we offend all in many things…
James 3:2
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
And yet we are perfect if we offend not in word. Amplified Bible says that he that never says the wrong things is a fully developed character and a perfect man.
As long as the teachings are full of grace and seasoned with salt then the problem is not with you delivering the message but rather with them that are receiving the message.
Matthew 12:37
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
This verse always intrigues me because we know that we are judged of no man and that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus yet your words will condemn you, they will act as evidence against you..words are like spirits and spirits do not die!
So brethren I urge us to be the perfect man in as in James 3:2, a man that does not offend in word. Let our words always be seasoned with salt to edify those around us.
Prophetic Utterance:
I am a complete man
The words that I speak edify me and the church
Grace has been poured on my lips; therefore God has blessed me forever.
My words are a sweet fragrance filled with God’s knowledge.
Halleluya
