Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Hebrews 12:2 [AMP]
Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps. 110:1.]

It doesn’t matter the storms you are facing in this life, look to Jesus, it doesn’t matter the record you have and all evidence is against you, look to Jesus, it doesn’t matter how filthy you think you are, look to Jesus because only He is capable of restoring you, only He is able to bring you to perfection.

There is a man that sang a song that says, Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace.

The only approval you’ll ever need is from God, not the world, not your circumstances. Look to Jesus..He alone can restore you.

Jonah 2:7
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

After trying to run away from his assignment, Jonah finds himself inside the belly of a fish however deliverance did not  come to Jonah until he had turned his heart to God and sought Him out.

The psalmist says I look to the hills, where does my help come from. My help comes from the Lord the maker of heaven and earth (Psalms 121:1-2)

Jonah came back to himself and realized that only God could deliver him from the pit of hell.

Sometimes we too can find ourselves in a situation like Jonah where we try to run away from our assignment. Maybe your assignment was to preach the word to that very bad mannered Aunt but you were like “not me” or you think that they would never take you seriously.

Look unto Jesus..your job is to not help the word, the word is self sufficient…all you have to do is to simply deliver the word and God will do the rest of the work. He is the beginning and end of all things.

John 21:20-22
²¹Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?²¹Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do²²Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

Stop looking at another person’s journey and concentrate on following Jesus.
Their assignment is different from yours.
You cannot measure your salvation walk based on someone else’s journey, they could be walking in their purpose and because you want to copy them, you find that you have derailed from your own purpose.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, He alone is able to direct your steps that you will not miss your mark. He alone can perfect everything that concerns you, He alone is your exceeding great reward.

Prophetic Utterance:

God I look to you, you are where my help comes from
Only You can satisfy me
My desire is to hear you say, well done, good and faithful servant
