“Of Partial obedience.” Even devils believe

Romans 10:9-10
⁹That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

What is the distinguishing factor that makes one a believer, what makes one stand out from the rest? You will find one who says that they believe but haven’t confessed which is ideally more like obeying one command and leaving the other undone!

There are people who say they believe in Jesus but have not confessed, they probably need time or haven’t come to the decision to confess, but scripture expressly says that if you believe in your heart and confess, yes that’s the thing ,you believe and confess…, there is no love minus a confession, no forgiveness minus confession and there is no answered prayer minus a confessed need… (but once known, non-confession can pass…).

How can a love be known if not confessed or how would one be forgiven without confession and simply stated, God despite being all knowing will not settle for the excuse of I believe in you but I won’t confess, that which is in your heart you confess…”Out of the abundance of the heart does the mouth speak…”

in the same vein “Overwhelming feelings will express themselves in speech.” Consider this; you have seen a woman assume that a man loves her just because of acts of love but later find her broken because the same guy has finally said that He has never said He loves her. What kind of relationship would that be where you live with an assumption of someone loving you just because they do certain things.

James 2:19-20
¹⁹Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. ²⁰But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

The confession makes the works / acts valid. Your first work of faith is to confess!! The word believe is to yield completely to ones trust . It is not enough for you to believe in your heart but to go ahead in acting out your belief, the first action is to confess it in our context. A believer accepts or obeys what God says acting accordingly. Have you heeded to what God says?

Your believing alone doesn’t translate unto salvation, we are seemingly made right with God but miss out on the finished work of Christ’s salvation, your believing has to be vocalized translating you into His finished work on the cross living out a divine life of a new creation that Jesus brought us when He died and resurrected.

2 Corinthians 4:13
¹³Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, I have believed, and therefore have I spoken. We too believe, and therefore we speak.

To believe is to immerse fully, to yield ones trust that it produces results, in this case ‘manifest works’, ‘You believe, You manifest’

Mark 16:16-18
¹⁶ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. ¹⁷And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; ¹⁸They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Prophetic Utterance :

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Luke:6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
