Let mercy speak for you

Matthew 15:22
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

When this woman came to Jesus, the first thing she sought after was mercy before making a request for healing. This woman was clever because she had knowledge of Jesus and that His mercies fail not.
Many texts show that before Jesus performed any act, He was first moved with compassion. His compassion/mercy is what led Him to perform the act of healing or raising the dead or feeding the multitudes (Matthew 20:34).

Matthew 15:28
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

As great as His mercies are, God will never impose His will on you. You will have to want to get out of that situation. Many times, I believe most of us have made this prayer saying, “but God you know, you can see what I am going through.” The truth indeed is that God sees what you are going through but He will never impose His will on you unless you are tired of that situation and express your desire to end it.
God is not a magician and neither is He dealing with robots. This relationship should be a two-sided relationship. Can two walk together except they be agreed?

Jonah 2:8
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

Lying vanities means anything contrary to God’s word. To observe something; notice or perceive (something) and register it as being significant.
You are observing what God has not intended for you because you have forsaken His mercy. God’s will for you is sure. He wants only what is best for us but unfortunately some of us have refused to seek and/or surrender our burdens to Him. We have held on to them. Many times you will hear statements like “my flu, my blood pressure, my debts, my headache, my landlord …your landlord??”
What does the word say? You will build houses and dwell in them but you are comfortable with renting. You will rent for the rest of your life. You have decided to possess/own these lying vanities and have not given God any space to work in you and or your situation thus forsaking your mercy.

I cannot emphasize enough the need to speak positively in our lives and in our future.

The Bible says we are not consumed because of His mercy…

Lamentations 3:22
It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

I want to believe that the only reason God has not rained balls of fire on this world is because of His mercies. The Bible says that He wills that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

His mercies are new each and every single day (Lamentations 3:23). Just as sure as you are that the sun will rise up the following day, so should you be sure of God’s mercy. The word says that the mercy I experienced yesterday is different from the mercy I will experience today because they are new each and every morning. Just as His grace abounds, so does His mercy towards you.

Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Yes, the grace of the Lord is sufficient but first obtain His mercy then can you find grace in time of need.

Child of God, what is stopping you from seeking the Lords mercy? Notice that in the Bible every one that came to Jesus implored His mercy before they asked for their healing

What is that situation that has held you down? Look towards the mercy of God. Remind God of His word concerning you and believe that He hastens His word to perform it.

Psalms 119:49
Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

Prophetic Utterance
