Genesis 32:28
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
Many of us have come with our different prayer requests in this fast. And indeed it is the father’s great pleasure to give us the kingdom.
Luke 12:32
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
But before we get the answers to these requests, what is our standing with God? Are we asking because we want to satisfy our own lusts? God give me this money so that people will see…or are we actually concerned about this very Kingdom that God has given unto us. If He did give you that money would you take opportunity to further the kingdom?
The truth is unless you prevail with God, you will never prevail with men. If God cannot get through to you (teach you/change you) then which man can?
Jacob knew that if he went as Jacob to meet his brother, he would have failed and he did that which everyone of us should always do, he reminded God of His promise/covenant. He had to prevail first with God before he could go meet Esau because he knew what he had done (stolen birthright) and he already knew that Esau had waxed great.
There are some favors that you cannot obtain unless you are in covenant with God. Take for example Esau? Why the change of heart towards Jacob?
Luke 2:52
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Why did Jesus increase in favor with God? Wasn’t He the son of God already? But yet even when He was one hundred percent God, He continued to grow in the favor with God.
Think on this, where did the increase in wisdom, stature and favour happen, was it outside or inside him!
Prophetic Utterance:
I am a kingdom financier
I have found favor with God and with man
I am a kingdom minded labourer
My root grows deeper and wider, my branches have spread their wings carrying my fruit, enough for luxury and establishing new gardens,
My wings are spread as i glide through the winds.
