Are You known of God

1 Corinthians 8:3
But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

Here’s an interesting question, are you known of God? Of course many will answer yes He knows me, He calls me by name, He engraved my name on the palm of His hand.

Isaiah 49:16
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

And all these are valid answers to be honest. But what I actually mean is are you intimate with Him? Is He involved in your everyday life? When you move does He move, when you speak does He speak? When you show up does He show up?

Here’s an example of a church setting, your Pastor could know your name, he sees that you are actively involved in church affairs; he actually knows you but that is different from the person whose Pastor knows where they stay, knows their family members, knows their village, knows their personal life (who broke their heart, who annoyed them, who cheated their wages, who this who that who…).I’m not saying stalk your Pastor and force him to know all this, I’m saying if really you claim to love him and have a relationship with him, he should be able to know all those details of your life.

With the above, again I ask, does God know you? If you spent the day without talking to Him would He notice and miss that fellowship with you?! Think about it and answer truthfully within yourself. This love thing is a two way street, you cannot be the only one taking taking taking and not reciprocating.

1 John 2:4
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

How about we start from here, Amplified puts it that if you say you perceive, recognize, understand, and are acquainted with Him, which means you know Him fully, you know what He loves, understand what He hates, are acquainted with what grieves Him, He’s basically your best friend and you’ll do everything not to make Him sad and also do all that it takes to make Him happy.

So I call us to examine ourselves, what really is your standing with God? Are you the good and faithful servant? Or are you the one who beeps Him once in a while and only show up to do some shopping?

Prophetic Utterance:

I am a friend of God, He calls me friend
I am known of God
The Lord trusts me to execute His will
I am the vessel of God
