¹³Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. ¹⁴But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Yes , righteousness is a nature we received, it was imputed unto us because God so loves us that He gave Jesus for us, our opening text is letting us know that we can have righteousness and not be acquainted with it, just like one could own a car and not be able to drive it, worse still is having it and not understand traffic laws, with these misups, the ignorant driver is an accident waiting to happen.
It is still amazing that the greatest road accidents are mostly from the ardent(zealous, passionate ) road users. I know one that said he knew his car that even when it breaks were acting up, he said ‘this is my car, I know how to handle it’ afew kilometres later….we can only imagine how it all went down…

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

After we have graduated from spiritual milk as infants, we are able to know and fairly understand the elementary things of God even righteousness, though being acquainted are still unskilled in them.
By scriptures, strong meat being the word of God, the deep revelation that we so crave, knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom, manifest power, Glory, Grace name any great thing in God cannot be attained in casual use but in constant and consistent use that it forms who you are to a point that You become the atmosphere of God where doctrine simply drop into You like rain ,where revelation knowledge is second nature like dew is present every morning nomatter how,what, where….
Deuteronomy 32:1-2
¹Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. ²My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
Prophetic Utterance:
In constant use of the word, I am established as an Oracle of God, In Christ Jesus, I am established and complete.
I study to show myself approved to God, therein am I a custodian of the deep things of God.
God’s voice is in my heart, when I move God moves.
I’m in constant motion, getting bigger everyday in all things because my constant use of the Solid word of God has led me to a place where the Solid word of God uses me.
