Isaiah 25:8:
“He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken.”
Have you ever craved for something and when you got it you felt satiated, in a like manner, God feels fully satisfied when He sees His very own in a place of rest; freed from bondage or affliction because that’s His original plan from time eternal.
The scripture that states; “Precious in the sight of God is the death of his saints” suggests that even in the midst of pain and loss, there is a greater purpose and significance at play.
Psalms 116:15
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants.
I know one who lost a beloved one, she was suffering from epilepsy and mental instability since her teens to her adulthood. There was a longing to have Pastor Benny Hinn come in the hope of her healing but even when He did come to Uganda, she was never healed. A time came when she could hardly help herself, it became agitating to always give a hand yet Help was all she needed. Then suddenly, one early morning , she was no more.
It was of great grief to know she was no more yet in the consolation, Her mother said before her passing ‘perhaps there was a better place’. In her utter distress, as she beheld the pain of her only first fruit, there in her deep thoughts, a voice probably uttered: Perhaps it’s time for her to rest!!
Perception may seem so far from us, a longing to see things better, never did she realize that the implication was for her to find rest through death.
Life is unpredictable and often filled with challenges that we cannot control or fully comprehend. Despite our best efforts, we may not always find the answers or solutions we seek but most assuredly He is everything that sustains Life.
1 Corinthians 15:36
How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.
Vs 42
So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;
We must understand that death is not the end, but a new beginning. To have a new life, you have to die to self, in the same way; there is no newness without death!! Death may seem like an ending, but it is also a gateway to a new and better life.
Genesis 5:15
And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
God’s desire is to see us enter His rest!! Israel was required to keep the Sabbath, in memory of their deliverance from the affliction in Egypt, and as such we have our rest In Christ Jesus who breaks us free from bondage and affliction. This implies that God desires us to be free from affliction .
Have You ever lost and ached over a thing, and have you known that ultimately God’s purpose prevails over all things regardless!!
Prophetic Utterance:
My hope is in You , my strength , my rescue, my ultimate rest, even when i don’t see it , your significance and purpose for me is great, bless the Lord Oh My soul.
