1 Peter 2:1-5
¹Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, ²As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: ³If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. ⁴To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, ⁵Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
When a child is learning, they can only receive that which is projected unto them; inherently a child only knows how to receive and this nurtures an ignorant and selfish being as they only know what they have been taught.
Many kids run their lives by the dictates of their environment.(culture, language, diet, attitudes, mannerisms…) no wonder when one moves to a different nation, even their accent many times will flip.
The argument above can be applied to religious beliefs and practices, many said Christians only know what they have seen or been taught, and take it for gospel truth without digging into biblical knowledge to have inspired informed views. These are highly religious beings that tow the path of self righteousness fulfilling religious practices in slow motion that is mistaken for humility.
Psalms 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Verse 3 of our opening text dictates “If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious”
Many will never know this unless they let go of the old nature of a religious man that has created their own ‘jesus’ rejecting Jesus Christ our Lord, He is the stone that the builder refused yet still the chief corner stone for true believers.
Jesus however is a rock of offence to they that have created their own belief system.
It’s amazing how cluttered rock provides snakes with the best environment of shade when it is too hot and warmth in a cold season, many real non religious Christians also fall victim in harboring religion because of culture, respect toward elders and self righteousness among many strange practices…
2 Timothy 2:15-16
¹⁵Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. ¹⁶But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
One way to taste of the Rock of our salvation is to remain GRACE conscious no matter what. The serpents hidden in the rocks will be crushed by the same rocks.
Ephesians 4:5-7
⁵One Lord, one faith, one baptism, ⁶One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. ⁷But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ
Prophetic Utterance:
I look to Jesus, the Author and finisher of my Faith.
I know by Grace I am saved, I know I am sustained by Grace.
The Rock of revelation on which I prevail is established and nothing by any means can alter this.
I am eternally secure in Christ Jesus.
My life is founded on the very Power of God ‘even the Power of the Blood of Jesus”

1 Peter 2:6-8
⁶Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. ⁷Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, ⁸And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:
