Once God has restored you, He sends you
Once God has restored you, He sends you

Once God has restored you, He sends you

Psalms 23:3

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

God brings back a troubled or weary spirit to a state of spiritual health and inner peace, a continuous, intensive action of “returning” or “renewing” the deepest essence of one’s being.

Another version says “He gives me new strength. He helps me do what honors him the most.” It is He that works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

God is a God of restoration but once He has restored you, He sends you.

You are not meant to sit on that testimony, you’re to go out and tell others what God has done for you.

Revelation 12:11

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

That’s why most times when you are healed from a disease, you know that that anointing has stayed on you for the benefit of the others and not yourself, you are to go and heal others, freely have you received, freely should you give.

Mark 5:1-20

This story is of a man that had unclean spirits in him. Before Christ came to him, his situation seemed hopeless as no one could tame him.

But when Jesus arrived, there was hope again. Christ unbound him and restored him. With Jesus, Hope can be found in even the most hopeless situations.

Every soul is worth saving, every soul is worth being preached to.

Mark 5:19

Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

Jesus gave him a new life and new purpose. Jesus is on His assignment and He’s telling you to follow your own assignment sometimes we want to follow another man’s assignment instead of doing our own. Case in point Saul that offered a sacrifice in the place of a priest and that way he had his kingdom taken away from him.

Jesus knew the impact this man could have on his friends. It doesn’t matter what mess you were in, everyone is a perfect vessel to demonstrate the Lord’s goodness and mercy. The restored man obeyed and went into Decapolis being a ten city region to proclaim how much Jesus had done for him. As a result, everyone marveled (vs 20).

John 4:14

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.¹⁵The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

We all know the conversation between the Samaritan woman and Jesus. She was holding onto the revelation of the law  and Jesus offered a more excellent way (Grace)

What a beautiful exchange!! Not exchange in terms of conversation but exchange in terms of give me the law that condemns you (verse 7) and I will give you Grace (verse 10)

John 4: 28

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

After she had received an  exchange of what she thought she knew (the law) as compared to what Jesus gave her (truth….Grace and truth move hand in hand John 1:14), She left her waterpot (doctrine) behind and run with truth to the men in the city. (John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.)

John 4:29-30

²⁹Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? ³⁰Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

The word of God doesn’t need any help,  it’s not weak, simply present it (it is truth) the way it is (verse 29) and that truth (the word) will make men want to seek out more truth (which is Jesus) (verse 30)

Prophetic Utterance:

I love you Lord, I will feed your sheep

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Guiding text:
