God intends that our lives glorify Him, beyond our quest to attain material wealth. Our faith walk should be in patience, love and absolute dependence on God because our present discomforts cannot be compared to the glory that is to come after we have attained a testimonial before God.
Hebrews 11:1-2
¹Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.²For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Much as things are important, Gods intentions for our faith goes beyond mere things but God desires that we have a solid and undisputed relationship with Him, to a level where our spirits interact with God as a Spirit, to an extent that we obtain a track record of obedience and faithfulness irrespective of circumstances likened unto that of the elders of old that did obtain as the bible describes( a good report).
Hebrews 11:4-11
⁴By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. ⁵By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. ⁶But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. ⁷By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. ⁸By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. ⁹By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: ¹⁰For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. ¹¹Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
All the above elders in the bible obtained a testemonial before God because their desires went beyond the obtaining of just material things but superseded to a place of solid relationship with God, we see a track record of absolute trust even when there was uncertainty ahead as seen by human eyes.
Your testimony before God as a faithful steward is more important than your receipt of material things, as a good testimony before God will always attract the tangible things, stay in God’s kingdom and the rest shall follow. An example of job is when he had all material wealth, the devil accused him before God attaching His service to God to material things, and God permitted the devil to take away all the things thereby expressing Jobs faith in God.
Job 13:15
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”,
Even when his friends mocked him, he knew whom he had believed like Paul says. His faith was based on a solid relationship with God not just things.
When Joseph rejected Potiphar’s wife, God ideally should have come to His defense but he was imprisoned instead but even in the prison he maintained his faith in God, even when he had a chance exert vengeance against his brothers who sold him, he maintained his ways before God because his faith was beyond natural turbulence, the people and situations, he chose a good testimony before God.
Being on the run, Jacob could have missed a visitation from God when he laid his head to sleep on a stone and saw Angels ascending and descending considering His life was in Jeopardy by the hand of Esua.
But when he sojourned in Laban’s house and he was cheated all he could rely on was God then one day when he had rid himself of these draw backs, God came through and he wrestled with God and his name was changed to Israel a testimonial in the Spirit realm of his Prevalence before God. (Genesis 32:22)
Prophetic Utterance:
I choose to faithfully seek after the heart of God!
Irrespective of good or not, i will maintain in absolute Trust in God.
Father God, i choose you over everything!
Halleluya

³²And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:³³Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,³⁴Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.³⁵Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
