I follow Paul, I follow Apollos

1 Corinthians 3:4-6
⁴For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?⁵Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? ⁶I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

“I am of Paul , I am of Apollos,” Paul tags this as carnal, does this sound familiar? Unfortunately we still face the same issue today, you meet fellow believers who say I belong to Church B, or Man of God A, blacklisting the other in comparison to where one is from, shunning you as if you are carrying something essentially different from the Gospel of Christ. Paul considers such a Christian to be canal or fleshly , when one acts contrary to how they should act. Oneness should be the driving force of the church because we are the body of Christ.

John 17:22
“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.”

Why canal? This is because it ideally shows that you don’t know the real essence of the gospel, which is Christ that makes us one.
We are the personal assistants, He is the captain, He leads, we follow. Essentially, everything is about Him, He holds preeminence (Colossians 1:18; And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence).
we are called to be pioneers of the gospel, so whether you claim to follow ‘Apollos” or “Paul”, it’s all about Christ, whether you belong to Church A or church B, Christ is still the center, there is no one greater than another except for one man I know, whom we all carry, Christ Jesus!! For this Paul says: I preach no other than Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2
¹“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.²For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified”

Some ministers carry cult status for the abundance of giftings/grace they posses, this is where the catch is. I heard a Prophet declare that if You do not speak in tongues you are not born again, I believe He was well intentioned but it ministered in error, one can have a separate variation of manifestational gifts and they can only be from Gods spirit.

A lively and aggressive Congregation can elevate the seen status of a servant of God by socials today but the greater one remains the good steward. Paul shows that it’s not about the prophet, the apostle or pastor, name it, rather faithfully serving in one’s calling manifesting Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

The only distinction between men is God, no man manifests power without God, neither do men speak deep revelational insights minus the Holyspirit, we are all servants who minister according to God’s grace and faith, thus no leader has a greater status than another. Simply put your faith to work and fulfill your assignment. Reveal Christ.

Prophetic Utterance:

I am faithfully called to serve in truth, working under the grace of God who works in me to will and to do, boasting not of myself but of Christ in me.
Hallelujah!

Guiding Scripture:

Corinthians 4:7
For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
