John 3:14-15
¹⁴And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: ¹⁵That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
The word eternal life to many is a generic term we have become accustomed to throwing around. Some believe that when they say ‘may their soul rest in peace’ that people actually rests in peace.(this is just another generic acronym MHSRIP).
Peace is a thing of the living not the dead, peace is also a fruit of the Spirit, so how can it be for the dead considering tha God is a God of the living.(Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.)
Ephesians 2:14
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Jesus is that sacrifice that atoned for our sins once and for all, Jesus did not hesitate to fulfill Gods will but Man who He died for hesitates to receive the full counsel of God, and in so doing reject eternal life.
Obey God quickly, in the shadow of the scriptures, we see the ways to offer were prescribed and were to be followed and fulfilled to the dot. A sin offering was a voluntary offering for seeking mercy but there was a pattern in which it was to be offered. (Leviticus 5:7-19)
Many think they can sneak into eternal life by confession alone especially at their death bed; one battling sickness many focus on the benefits of God being healing among many, just because God heals a person does not mean they have faith for that healing. The one with the healing gift is the carrier of that healing grace. However confessing I am healed ten times does not mean one believeth in healing, they are simply desperate for it.
Imagine Lazarus or any dead man brought back to life, what did they utter, how strongly did they believe!!
‘Believe the Lord now’ do not wait for anything.
Leviticus 7:15-18
¹⁵And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning. ¹⁶But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten: ¹⁷But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire. ¹⁸And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.
Work out your salvation now with fear and trembling, not in sickness and declining health, not in desperation, not even confession helps, but by confessing what one believes in their heart however they must believe that Jesus died and rose again and is the giver of life(eternal life)
Prophetic Utterance:
Romans 10:9-10
⁹That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I believe in the risen Christ and I am bold in my belief, telling all men of Jesus my Lord and King, even my Saviour.
