Hebrews 4:14
¹⁴Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
To profess is to affirm one’s faith or beliefs for with the heart man believes and with the mouth confession is made in Him who gives us relief, righteousness and salvation ( Romans:10:9-10).
Have you heard about Siamese twins, they are born conjoined sharing the most vital organs? It is said that separating them is highly risky as to the losing of either one of them or both. In a like manner, it is fatal to detach from faith in Christ knowing that without Faith ,it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Being born of God , we re joined , together with the Lord.
1 Corinthians 6:17
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
We are joined together with Christ, detaching yourself from Him implies a forfeiture of life in its fullness, our life is fully attached to Him. Vital as the heart, critical as your oxygen, essential as the liver, without Him, life is an empty waste, prone to judgement, a forfeiting of Mercy.
So cling on, when you cling on something, it is most likely you won’t be disappointed, when Adonijah whose life was at stake clung to the altar horns, his life was saved ( 1 Kings 1:50), when the blind man clung on to call to Jesus, his sight was restored, ( Mark 10:48-49)!!
People cleave to a certain belief where their confidence is put; at least at one point or another, Anna spent her life in the temple praying and fasting, year after year, she cleaved on to that hope, for the arrival of the Christ after countless prophecies, was she disappointed in her faith ( Luke 2:37)? No.
Simeon was assured that he won’t die until he sees the messiah and so he cleaved to that hope until the day ( Luke 2:28-32), Was He disappointed? No.
The centurion had faith in Jesus to heal his servant, was He disappointed? Faith in anything else can disappoint you but faith in Him can never. Everything in this world is only sustained by faith, the world was created by faith, things come to existence because of faith, a speaking of things which be not as if they were!! So then Jesus says;
Revelation 2:25
But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
So when you take your journey of faith in Christ, begin with faith and end with faith , many begin this walk of faith and veer off, so when Jesus says hold fast what you have till I come , it is to hold on to His word through which your faith is built and your hope ignited and He further adds in chapter three, verse eleven ; I am coming quickly , hold fast to what you have that no one may take your crown And Paul writes, the just shall live by Faith….
Romans:1:17
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
It is faith that keeps you moving, everything around us revolves around faith!! Your life, your business, your job, relations, name it. When you begin to doubt, you lose momentum, sight or focus and things thus falter, worse still end in failure. Israel veered off when they begun questioning their faith and lost their promised rest. Surely without faith it is impossible to please God and so He says you generation of un believers / un believing generation…( Mathew 17:17-20).(Time bound generations or and Spirit bound generations-2 Spirits-The sons of the devil and of God)
Paul says that we are made partakers of Christ if we hold fast to the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end!! Are you holding on to your Faith?
Hebrews 3:14-15
¹⁴For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; ¹⁵While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Prophetic Utterance:
In the depths of faith-I profess, Joined with the Lord, in him I rest.
In fraility, i am beautifully embraced, it won’t disappoint.
In His strength-i will push on till the end .
Halleluya

Hebrews 11:1-3
¹Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ²For by it the elders obtained a good report. ³Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
