1 Peter 1:3-5
³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, ⁵Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
We are kept by God through faith unto salvation. We are secure only when we have our faith anchored in Christ Jesus. Stand firm, unshaken in an assurance that your safety is in Christ. Just as a secure grip keeps us from falling off a cliff, our faith keeps us from falling into the grip of the enemy’. For He has promised, ‘No one shall be snatched from My hands’
John 10:28 (KJV) states:
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
In a world where uncertainties abound, safety is a sure thing in Christ, be confident that your life is guaranteed when your faith is in Christ Jesus. When in Jesus we are protected from the pits and serpents that we might otherwise fall into or even attract .
Ephesians 4:27 kjv
Neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:27 niv
and do not give the devil a foothold.
He is the hedge, protecting us from the negative consequences of our deeds and the entrapments of our own making even our failing wisdom. Instead, we’re wrapped in His loving embrace, finding eternal life and security. He has the power not only to protect our soul from eternal damnation but also keep us eternally secure.
Ecclesiastes 10:8 (KJV) states:
“He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.”
We are warned of the consequences of straying from a safe path or breaking down protective barriers (the “hedge”). This can lead to harm and danger, symbolized by the serpent while John 10:28 promises that those who remain in Christ, will be protected. Jesus is the ultimate “hedge” that keeps us safe from spiritual danger.
Therefore it is essential to stay within God’s protective boundaries, trusting in His care, and avoiding actions that might lead us away from His safety.
The Bible further tells us;
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). It is by Grace alone that we are saved but your faith must be applied. It is not by our own strength or efforts that we are protected, but by the immense love and power of God.
Our faith in God cannot be passive or shallow, It must be firmly anchored in Christ Jesus. Just as a ship needs a sturdy anchor to withstand the storms of the sea, our faith needs to be anchored in Christ to withstand anything.
Just as a tree withers and dies when uprooted from the soil, and a fish suffocates when taken out of water, so too does a person diminish when separated from their source Christ Jesus.
Continuously walk in step with Him, following His lead, and trust Him to guide your path. When He directs, surrender to His guidance and let Him shape the course of your life.
Colossians 2:6-7
⁶As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:⁷Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Our faith is what connects us to God, and it is through this connection that He can keep us safely and secure.
Prophetic Utterance:
“Nothing can ever separate me from His love, for I am unshakably secure in His salvation through faith, I have a firm grip on His promises, and I am deeply rooted in Christ. My heart is anchored in His grace, and my deeds are secured in His righteousness.”
