Psalms 31:19-20
¹⁹Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! ²⁰Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
The goodness of God is evidenced in His creation, it is not a compliment but His trait, His goodness isolates not any man, for His goodness is to everyone. We know every good and perfect gift is from God ( James 1:17), Mathew says, He gives everyone the sun, good or evil and the rain for the just and un-just alike, ideally, He is extravagantly bountiful fulling the desires of humanity that are submitted to Him ‘The Father of all’, the real essence of purpose, for surely no one is good but only God, untainted in His goodness, He loves with perfection, surely as the psalmist says. Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Mathew 5:45
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Ps:34:8
“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.”
He has stored up so many good things for us, like a treasure chest heaped up and spilling over with blessings, like a father plans for His children, He has bestowed upon us His goodness, if He gives sunshine and rain to both the evil and good, how much more will he give to His very own, for as surely as Jesus says:
Luke 11:11-13
¹¹If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? ¹²Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? ¹³If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Can you grab a moment and reflect, look back and see His goodness, look back and remember where He has brought you from, remember that time when you were at your wits’ end, a limit of your mental resources, lacking a way out, remember that time it felt hopeless,…
Even that sudden miracle, that accident you survived, remember!!. Remember that moment when life seemed totally drained out.
I know one who carried her child that looked stiff and dead that those who beheld saw as if she is carrying a dead body, but right now, fully grown and a wonder, she reflects and looks back only to give glory to God.
He is a God who parts your red sea and makes a way where there seems to be no way, the Elohim who shuts the lion’s mouth and makes your threat an Eden, redeeming you with victories, fighting unknown battles you see not, over shadowing you with His presence, tucked in His tabernacle, protected from the brutal insults of men.
He breaks through your darkness and lights your path, bands He breaks asunder, breaking through any limitation to your aid, for Israel; bars of iron He broke. Where death and judgement came, mercy sought the fallen man. He turns a dry wilderness into an oasis of water and springs flow from dry land, He calms the waves and stills the storm.
Psalms 107:9-10
⁸”Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” ⁹For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. ¹⁰Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
Come to that place and return to The God that saves, one that fills with goodness, as Jacob toiled in sweat yet blessed to the benefit of another, cheated by his father in law, nevertheless, God was faithful and His goodness never stopped, it flowed, muiltiplied, broke forth..
Genesis 30:43
⁴³Thus the man ( Jacob) increased and became exceedingly rich, and had many sheep and goats, and maidservants, menservants, camels, and donkeys.
Prophetic Utterance:
May I be enthused with joy because of him, and as a son / daughter of Zion, I will pour out my joyful praises to my King, beak forth with dancing, make music and sing God’s praises with the rhythm of drums! I am adorned with His beauty and crowned with His victory.
I am glorious
