Judges 18:27-28
²⁷And they took the things which Micah had made, and his priest, and came to Laish, to a people quiet and feeling secure, and they smote them with the sword and burned the city. ²⁸And there was no deliverer because it was far from Sidon, and they had no business with anyone. It was in the valley which belongs to Beth-rehob. And they rebuilt the city and dwelt in it.
The Danites , a tribe in Israel approached to attack and occupy a small people/ land and took advantage of that fact that it was feeling secure and queit.
You can be queit and feel secure yet not really safe or secure!! Unfortunately many people are positioned in such a place.
Safe and secure but without a leader!
The scripture above shows us that there was no deliverer !!! Anciently, we saw leaders like Moses, Gideon, David among others deliver people subject to them from attack or bondage. It is the leader that strives to see to it that the people are safe!! Many be queit and feel safe and secure but without a leader who is the life line of a kingdom! A kingdom without a leader is one bound to fail, out of direction and exposed to attack!! When Israel lacked a ruler, they strayed, misbehaved and were subjected to bondage.
Judges 2:18
And when the Lord raised them up judges, then the Lord was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the Lord because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.
Asides from the political leaders that can offer only what they can, the world is governed by two forces from which we decide which one to let govern us, thus we are a kingdom set to be governed by either God or the devil.
A man without Christ is one out of safety, a house that is empty is also prone to attack, seven more demons as written will occupy a vacant house ( Mathew:12:44-45). For a non believer your quiet and secure without Christ yet evidently under attack to complete destruction. Without subjection to the son , many are alive but yet destroyed for it is He that gave His life to deliver His own people ( Mathew:20:28).
Jude:1:25
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
When we yield to God’s dominion, we allow His rulership over us and thus He becomes our defence and security.
For a believer, you find one who feels secure yet under attack when one lays back in their comfort zone , empty and void of the word, sluggishly quiet about things around one yet we are meant to prevail in season and out of season, being ready always.
The enemy will always seek out those who are isolated and alone, feeling safe yet unsecure, in quiet open peace yet deep within theres void of the word , giving room for depression , stress, worry among others taking root and ruining one deep within.
1 Peter:5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Many sit at confort’s seat and end up with flesh that is constantly under attack!
If you haven’t let him rule, arise and kiss the son, let him rule over you and destruction won’t find it’s place in you; if you have already, believed, arise and take your place, speak and break the bonds of destruction.
Prophetic Utterance:
I am blessed because I am ruled by Christ whom am subject to and therefore I am safe, better secure and queit in Him. Therefore I will take my stand and arise and take my place, speak and break the bonds of destruction.
