Titus:1:1
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
The Greek word doulos for servant means one who is subservient or sold out to His master either voluntarily or involuntarilly. The word subservient carries with it a meaning of one who considers one’s wishes less important than those of other people / serving to promote an end, one who is compliant with un questionable obedience and submissive..
Exodus:21:5-6
“But if the servant declares, ‘I love my master and my wife and children and do not want to go free,’ then his master must take him before the judges. He shall take him to the door or the doorpost and pierce his ear with an awl. Then he will be his servant for life.
One of the reasons why one was a servant anciently was due to failure to clear a debt and they became someone’s servant and when their time was to be set free, they made a decision to stay, a piercing was made on the ear as a sign of their allegience.
In like manner, the price we couldn’t pay for sin, Christ paid to set us free and thus we are bond to be His servants by choice, fully at His service for He has made a mark on us with His holy spirit (Eph:1:13). We are His , totally in servitude to Him to accomplish the work of the father , whether to preach or teach or prophesy, pastor, name it.
1 Corinthians 7:23
Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
Paul came to that point of calling Himself a servant of Christ, one with a total commitment to Christ as an Apostle.
We are bond servants of God, with a life that is meant to be totally devoted to Him, it is a life long relationship, for better for worse, till death joins us together again, and immortality embraces us, (even much as we are joined together with the Father,Son and Spirit)
Romans 6:21-22
²¹What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.²²But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
We are meant to be fully committed to His service, passionately doing His work, doing the will of the father, forsaking all that is to our freedom that may be permissible but not profitable like Paul says: Everything is lawful for me but I will not become a slave to anything. If Christ left His comfort, His throne just to serve the father’s will, so must we fully determine to commit and do God’s will, counting God worthy of all honor that His name and doctrine be not blasphemed as it is written: As many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor. We have let Christ conquer us and the sin in us, for that which you let to conquer You is that which you are subject to, no longer bond servants of corruption but of His righteousness.
2 Peter 2:19-22
¹⁹They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.” ²⁰If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. ²²It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. ²²Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”
Prophetic Utterance:
Father Lord I thank You for you bought me with a price, therein do I passionately follow after you, to serve and do your will, to purposefully accomplish that which you have purposed for me to do!
Halleluya

1 Peter 2:15-16
¹⁵For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:¹⁶As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
