Tarry until you are endued with power

Luke 24:49
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

In the above verse, Jesus is talking to His disciples asking them to tarry(Kathizo) in greek which means to “sit down” in Jerusalem, until He sends the promise of the father ( the Holy Spirit) which will give them power. Tarrying is an important aspect for believers because this is the place where the power of the Holyghost is activated in men, like we see the disciples in the book of acts in the upper room where they prayed and fellowshiped until the Holyghost fell upon them like tongues of fire.
Every Christian ought to tarry in prayer, fellowship and the word if they are to be endued with power. The bible has accounts of many men who tarried with God and God changed their stories like David tarried with God in the wilderness as a shepherd until the power of God elevated him from the wilderness to the throne.
While you tarry God will show you a place to tarry in or a man whose guidance you will tarry under, for the disciples it was Jerusalem, for Elisha it was with the prophet Elijah, he tarried until the prophetic mantle fell on him.【he had the choice not to but he did】

Isaiah 40:29-31
²⁹He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.³⁰Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:³¹But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

As long as you are willing to tarry and wait on God, God is willing to give you power, to draw you out of that impossible situation, while you wait, you are strengthened, you are renewed and given wisdom to manoeuvre in all that comes your way by the working of the Holyghost in you.
Are you faint?, Are you weary?, simply tarry in the Lord until He endues you with power because even Jesus of Nazareth tarried until He was anointed with the Holyghost and with power.

Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

There is nothing you can do as a man unless God has anointed you with His power, even physical things such as wealth, it is God that grants the power to make wealth, the more you tarry in His Presence the more you become like Him, the presence of God empowers one to prevail and in so doing we stand in dominion over all including human weaknesses.
God becomes your power and your strength like Moses though he was a stutterer yet He managed to deliver the Israelites from bondage and led them through the wilderness not of His own accord but the power of God that worked with in him to do.

Do You identify with the Holyspirit!!… then show the testimony of the works of Jesus that are now Your righteous works of faith of which your reward awaits You at the judgement seat.

Prophetic Utterance:

“In frailty, I find strength; in His presence, my might is renewed. As I tarry with the Lord, He empowers me to press on, pushing forward with purpose.”
I am a winner, I win always
I am growing always, Gods triumphs are in me.
I am super natural.

Guiding Text:

2 Kings 2:6-10
⁶Then Elijah said to him, “Stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to the Jordan.” But he said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So the two of them went on.⁷And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood facing them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan.⁸Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground.⁹And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”¹⁰So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so. ”
