The word of God, the antidote to doubt.
The word of God, the antidote to doubt.

The word of God, the antidote to doubt.

Genesis 3:1

¹Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

“Hath God said”, the serpent didn’t  just aim this question at Eve’s integrity but at the word of God in Eve’s Spirit. The bible tells us about how the book of the law should not depart from us but we should meditate upon it day and night.

The word of God that can be questioned is that which is on your lips but the one that you have meditated upon day and night and has settled in your heart and your Spirit cannot be questioned because you and that word have become one.

We are to walk in our nature as the temple of the Holy Spirit manifesting Christ (the word) knowing that the Lord has written that word in us.

Jeremiah 31:33

³³But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Like perfect love casts out fear, so does a revealed word of God cast out any form of doubt. We see Peter, when Jesus did bid him to come, He walked on water. as long as he set his gaze on Christ ( the word)

Matthew 14:28-30

²⁸And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.²⁹And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.³⁰But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

As believers we need to come to relate so much with God to a point that Gods word becomes personal, where you can no longer experience God from another mans encounter but from a personal fellowship and intimacy with the word.

God is still speaking as long as a man is listening and the Holy spirit your helper in the word keeps on revealing, teaching and bringing to your understanding things that  no man can teach you.

John 14:26

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Many people do not actually doubt God, but with ignorance dare to approach Him having an incomplete faith stemming wrong or incomplete belief.

Take time to meditate on Gods word concerning  you, do study the word and mould faith within self. A Faith Based stance hinged on the word of God will yield Gods creative power to and in any believer.

John 6:63

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

As Christ is so are you in this world, so meditate on this word, then speak life to every fear and doubt in your life because every other thing shall pass away but the word of God remains, the same word that God has exalted above His Name, Nothing can stand against the word of God not even doubt, even though Thomas doubted yet most assuredly God had spoken of the resurrection of Christ which had to be, once we are anchored in his word, doubt becomes visibly invisible!…Even Jesus when He was tempted by the enemy to do a contrary bidding, he conquered by the word of God ” it is written….”

Prophetic Utterance:

The word of God formulates and guides my thought patterns, i don’t live by the systems and patterns of this world but in accordance to what the word of God says about me, i am persuaded by what the word of God says about me, so i cannot doubt but be thankful for the beautiful plans God has for  me!

Guiding text:

Luke 4:3-12

³And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. ⁴And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. ⁵And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. ⁶And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. ⁷If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.⁸And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.⁹And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: ¹⁰For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: ¹¹And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. ¹²And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
