Acts 1:4-5
¹And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. ⁵For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Its a pity when men do not take Gods word/instructions at face value; when God says wait, it is not because He is delaying You.
First thing I know is the wait is not about God but about You.
A simple word, ‘wait’ only calls for obedience, will you hear and obey Gods instructions!! Remember God does not request, His word is a command.
We have heard that “what He did yesterday He can do tomorrow, and what He can do tomorrow He can do today.”
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Sometimes memory betrays us, we know the way of the wilderness and reduce God to what our minds understand.
God has declared your greatness and knows how He prepares You but many hold onto what is common.
The journey of your wilderness takes you to the land of promise but because we are untrained, slow to learn, an 11 day journey takes forty years and yes God will fulfill His plan in you or your offspring, You decide in which generation you want to see His word fulfilled. Obey God quickly and now or forfeit the benefits of the blessing of a word from God!!
You have an unction of what is truth. (1 John 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.)
Lamentations 3:22-23
²²It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
²³They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Even with Aaron making grave errors in making a golden calf, the Levitical Priesthood was not banished, all because God is true to His word.
Exodus 32:8-10
⁸They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. ⁹And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: ¹⁰Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.
God for His faithfulness to Himself first will not change His mind about You, God doesn’t swear by anyone, we are blessed that God honours His own word for our sake.
Where there’s a mediator God can repent of a thing. The blood of Jesus mediated, mediates and will mediate for us, (Moses remains but a shadow of mediation or intercession for the people)
Jesus and the Holyspirit are our only two intercessors.
nâcham in Hebrew is to repent meaning to breathe strongly; by implication to be {sorry} that {is} (in a favorable sense) to {pity} console or (reflexively) rue;
Rue {English} -bitterly regret (something one has done or allowed to happen) and wish it undone.
metanoeō in Greek if to repent; meaning, to think differently or afterwards that is reconsider (morally to feel compunction).
Compunction is a feeling of guilt or moral scruple that prevents or follows the doing of something bad.
God simply thought differently, He chose not to destroy a disobedient people because He swears by Himself and will not allow mans failure to obey dictate His actions.
Exodus 32:13-14
¹³Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.¹⁴And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Prophetic Utterance:
I will do your will oh Lord,
I will hear and obey,
My mind is set to obey You Lord for every good thing is in You alone.
I am a son in the Kingdom of God and I hear and obey my Father.

Genesis 22:16-18
¹⁶And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: ¹⁷That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; ¹⁸And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
