Exodus 33:14
¹⁴And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.¹⁵And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
The opening scriptures show us a man who had walked with God and understood Him that he was willing to give up the promised land (God’s promises) and not lose God’s presence. How many of us are willing to give up what we have prayed for since we were young if we were to lose out on our fellowship with Him? Yes He has promised to give us all we ask and His answer remains yes and Amen.
2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
We must get to that point where His presence means so much more to us than the promises, that even if the promises are right in our grasp, we would never prioritize them over God’s presence. Of all the things David a rich man, a well established man ever worried about was for God not to cast him away from His presence;
Psalms 51:11
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
What did David or Moses understand about God’s presence that they were not willing to lose? Some of us come to the presence to shop and then run away once we have gotten what we want. We replace the presence with our husbands, our children, our businesses or that job, submit all these things to God lest they eat away your time with God.
We all are guilty of seeking God for what His hand can give rather than seeking Him to know His heart, His mind.
1 Corinthians 2:16
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Are you very sure you know the mind of God!(ponder on it)…To know the mind of God is to understand His heart concerning some things. Do you understand God’s heart concerning that next door neighbor!
Are You like the goof Samaritan!
Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
To have the mind of God is to know and be able to see these great things that have been hidden from the common eye. In Gods presence is not only access but a transformation into divine access. His presence is able to generate much more than those promises that were answered.
Prophetic Utterance:
My treasure is your presence
I seek to know Your heart and not what Your hand can give me.
In Your presence is fullness of joy.

Psalm 131:2 (TPT)
I am humbled and quieted in your presence. Like a contented child who rests on its mother’s lap, I’m your resting child and my soul is content in you.
