Christ, the very message of God

Luke 24:45-47
⁴⁵Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. ⁴⁶He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, ⁴⁷and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

There is a man standing on the pulpit, He seems to know the perfect word, the kind that inspires, encourages and motivates. The man on the pulpit tells of a truth known to him, He tells about Christ but is it the whole counsel! There is a man behind the man on the pulpit, holding a sad countenance pointing the man on the pulpit to a desired direction, He picks up the kind of wood that was on the cross and writes on it the gospel in it’s brevity, He whispers to the man on the pulpit but does he hear!

The question is, where are we at and where does Jesus want us to be!! What is being preached and what ought to be preached?

2 Corinthians 2:17
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.

The gospel is about Jesus, His why and what He accomplished. He is the full expression of Gods will, saving souls and redeeming the world.

1 Corinthians 15:3-7
³For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, ⁴that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, ⁵and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. ⁶After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. ⁷Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, ⁸and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

Paul’s message is consistent with the eye witnesses that saw Christ, that Jesus died and rose again, also consistent with Moses and the Prophets, then the evidence of his resurrection as witnessed by many and revealed to us and yet to be revealed to whom you preach to!
That is where Paul says: we preached and so you believed!
That is the good news meant to be spread, when Jesus said Go ye and preach the gospel, it is to preach that same message of the resurrection.

Romans 1:1-2
¹Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God — ²the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures

The message is like a dagger, it can be used for good and for destruction.
For and to they that Love and seek after Gods truth and disseminate it, it found a sweet fragrance, to those that fall short, it is a Godly Sorrow filled with deep convictions, run not away from it even when it guts You Open.

Some that stumble upon it like the Samaritan woman, it is an eye opener and great revelation that eradicates ignorance releasing Gods Love to many by one. (John:4)!!

2 Timothy 4:3-5
³For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. ⁴They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. ⁵But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Its amazing that men do easily fall prey to their own desires and make gods of men, Cult Heroes who many times did not anticipate the new found glory.

Like Paul, can we have the boldness to say or render that we are not like many who peddle / adulterate, water down God’s word, making merchandise by it but be men of sincere motive as commissioned by God, speaking in Christ, the very message of God?

Prophetic Utterance:

I will boldly preach the message of Christ as it is , bitter or sweet, but with sincere motive will I render His word, speaking in Christ the very message of God being Jesus Himself.
I am a custodian of Gods truths as revealed by the Holyspirit.

Guiding Text

Acts 13:38-41
³⁸Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: ³⁹And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. ⁴⁰Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; ⁴¹Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
