2 Thessalonians 2:11-13
¹¹And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:¹²That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.¹³But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
We are sanctified by the Spirit and it is undeniable that our belief in the truth leads us to salvation. Yet, in our daily lives, we often encounter choices that test our commitment to truth. While some things may seem insignificant and worth ignoring, others require our attention and discernment. Unfortunately, many people prioritize fleeting desires over eternal truth, just like Adam and Eve, who were enticed by the serpent’s deceit ( Genesis 3).
We often find ourselves at a crossroads. It is either accepting the truth in its purity and simple form or succumbing to our desires and clinging onto whatever seems to align with them. Adam and Eve faced a similar dilemma when they encountered the serpent’s deception, which caused a divide between what God had instructed and what was enticing.
God clearly stated, “Don’t,” while the serpent cunningly challenged their minds, we too encounter these pressures and have to make choices.
Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
We must remember that these choices have consequences even unto our very own offspring, Hezekiah showed off the treasures of his house to the very people that would bring peril to His seed but He didn’t care because it was not to be during his time. In Hezekiahs case, it was His boast that failed Him.
2 Kings 20:14-19
¹⁴Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon. ¹⁵And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them. ¹⁶And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD. ¹⁷Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD. ¹⁸And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. ¹⁹Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?
Truth serves as a guide in our lives. It provides clarity, direction, and purpose. When we align ourselves with truth, we make choices that are in line with God’s teachings and values. Despite the allure of temporary pleasures, we must remember that embracing truth is essential for our long salvation walk. It may require sacrificing momentary pleasures, but the rewards of eternal salvation far outweigh any temporary enjoyment.
2 Timothy 3:14-15
¹⁴But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; ¹⁵And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
As followers of the gospel, we have a responsibility to share the truth with others. The scripture warns us that many people will seek teachings that cater to their desires rather than the truth. Therefore, it becomes even more crucial for us to spread the message of truth, presenting it in ways that saves individuals seeking salvation.
2 Timothy 4:2-5
²Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.³For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;⁴And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.⁵But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Embracing truth involves more than just acknowledging its existence. It requires us to manifest its fruit in our daily lives. We must strive to embody the values and teachings of truth through our actions, words, and interactions with others. Living in truth not only strengthens our own faith but also serves as a powerful testimony to those around us. Through our example, we can inspire others to seek truth and experience the transformative power of salvation.
Prophetic Utterance:
I am blessed and happy and spiritually prosperous for my heart thirsts for righteousness, in and out of season i take on the gospel of truth in its simplicity, taking every opportunity to preach Christ.

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
