The Power of Knowledge: A Cautionary Tale

Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The world we live in is a vast sea of information, and it is our responsibility to discern what is beneficial and what is not.

How can the mind be transformed?  It’s through possessing the  knowledge  and much more knowledge of the word of God. Herein do we find what is pleasing(good) ,acceptable (permissible) and perfect will of God.

It is through knowledge our minds experience life changing transformation. Transformation commences with understanding – particularly, understanding the teachings of God.

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God.

I recall a man sharing his regret over his wasted youthful days, lamenting the lack of knowledge that nearly led to his downfall. Despite having a well-paying job and earning a substantial income, even knowing the future will come, he did not understand that its quality depended on his present day actions, he failed to invest wisely. When he suddenly lost his job, his savings vanished, leaving him with nothing. He realized too late that he had the potential for a luxurious life, but lacked the knowledge to sustain it establish and sustain a potential future.

Like the prodigal son, he squandered his resources, he had the gold but never refined it, he had all that was needed for a luxurious life but not the knowledge to keep it..like the prodigal son, he squandered it.

Many have impaired vision in looking at their seed as a harvest, even the word of God is a seed that keeps on giving.

Hebrews 11:3

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Many ignore that book, and never realise that God ministers seed to the sower. Self examination and ask self, are you a sower, are you an investor, if your response is yes, also know that He ministers bread to the eater, your only role is to understand the difference between the two in Him.

Joseph made power moves in saving the empire of Egypt, He had wisdom and by it was able to discern the times, and did invest and preserved a fifth of the harvest and turned it into seed that expanded the empire while sustaining lives.

1 Corinthians 13:11 states,

“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

The key to maturity lies in acquiring knowledge of God’s Word. Through this knowledge, we can access greater dimensions of God’s wisdom.Tl This knowledge refines, directs, guides, illuminates, and points us to the way.

Isaiah 60:1-2 says,

¹”Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. ²For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.”

In the depths of His wisdom, we find the wellspring of His glory and light. As we drink from the fountain of His knowledge, we are illuminated by His radiant presence. Like a master craftsman, this knowledge refines our rough edges, directs our wandering steps, guides our searching hearts, illuminates our foggy minds, and points us toward the horizon of hope for man shall not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from God and this word is the light of men ( John 1 , Mathew 4:4 ).

To move forward, we must progress from the realm of knowledge to understanding that knowledge applied yields unto us  wisdom. In this we bring forth and see the fruitfulness of His word in our lives where we see a, 40 fold , 60 fold even 100 fold harvest.

Read , reflect(meditate), understand and manifest.

Matthew 13:23

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Prophetic Utterance:

The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,  give unto me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him”
