THE PEOPLE

John 8:57-59
⁵⁷Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? ⁵⁸Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. ⁵⁹Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

John 10:28-31
²⁸And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. ³⁰I and my Father are one. ³¹Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus was almost stoned to death as it appeared in the prevalent tradition, He had to hide from His would be killers more than once.

Jesus never ran away from a demon, everywhere He went demons screamed in fear and He always ordered them to shut up or cast them out. All the miracles of healing He performed were a vivid expression that He had supremacy over every demonic force.

Jesus told His disciples that He had given them power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. He also told them that they would be persecuted and even killed.

The weight of Jesus’ words had His adversaries rattled at all times.

One may wonder why the anointing didnt expressly work against those Jews just like it worked on the demons? (It actually did when it discomfited them) but they lived to fight another day as Jesus had actually come to save them too.

Many believers get perplexed when they cast out demons and heal diseases and yet get persecuted by neighbours, bosses and evil doers, their businesses collapse or even their marriage hits rock bottom. Jesus was very aware of how bad humanity can get, severally  they tried to stone Him yet He was to die on the cross for them.

As children of God we need to be aware of people more than anything, especially custodians of vain revelation.

The Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, lawyers,  these were people that were supposed to represent God’s kingdom but they religiously kept Moses’ law and turned out to be unreasonable Men. Only Jesus saves not your appointed messiahs.

2 Thesalonians 3:1-3
¹Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: ²And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. ³But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Prophetic Utterance:

I live an eternal life by Grace,
I don’t fail for greater is he who is in me than the one who’s in the world.
I am heavenly defended and protected by the blood of Jesus Christ.
No weapon fashioned against me prospers not now not ever.

²⁸Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.²⁹Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.³⁰For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
