1 Timothy 1:17
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I believe You can honour someone and yet not respect them, honour many times is attached to persons in high places, like parents, elders, leaders, they that spearhead a thing. Honour is bestowed rather earned.
I believe respect is earned and many times is heaped onto Honour, rather than hinged onto it.
Genesis 4:5
But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
Respect’ can be said to be, to praise, to be plussed whereas, ‘Honor’ is more about how highly important someone as relates to a good reputation and also positioning.
In Christian practice we are quick to honour that which is established especially a servant of God and the same ones that show honour will at the first error of the same have no respect for one in error but will proceed to say things like do not touch the Lord’s anointed, and of politicians, the conclusions are gross.
Luke 6:26
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
The people that will praise You will also mock You, the ones you will draw close are the very ones that will dis-honour you.
A person that knows You can honour or dishonor you,
A person that doesn’t know you can respect disrespect you.
These things are strongly established in Family settings, examine yourself and follow after the fruit of the Spirit.
Prophetic Utterance :
My ears shall hear a word behind me, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
The Holy Spirit is my Guide, I am well cultured, I understand Honour and I Understand Respect.
I am blessed of the Lord.
Halleluya
