Genesis 17:1
¹WHEN ABRAM was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty God; walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete).
When God appears to Abraham, He reintroduces Himself as God Almighty. Is it a brag or something? When it comes to God, like a customer care agent, pay attention to detail, in other words, be attentive to every detail or word that proceeds from God, be it an, I AM for therein is profound significance. By paying attention to the details of God’s self-revelation, we can gain deeper insight into His nature and character
For instance, If we could focus on I AM, they are two minor words with an in-depth meaning. As we know, the same God introduced Himself to Moses as the “I AM”, and most often did Jesus refer to Himself as the “I AM”.
Being the All-knowing God, He knows that humankind has a weakness of faith that falters, so God reminds him (man) of Who He is. Herein we see God reassuring Abraham of His covenant blessings that he would be a multitude, and then the big statement; “a father of nations” which may sound like a joke or an insult for a man in His nineties with an old wife. No wonder Abraham laughed about it but remember this word came to Him even before He was called a father. So regardless of your state, remember God for who He is, God Almighty, better revealed as the Great I am, eternal yet unchangeable!!
Exodus 6:2-3
²And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: ³And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
There is nothing too hard for God to do. He is beyond limitation and nothing is too great or extreme for Him. I would still say, “The impossible is not possible with God”. He makes the dry bones live again and the barren to be fruitful. He makes a way where there seems to be no way, He is God Almighty; the great “I Am” so surely there is nothing too hard for Him. He is more than enough, a bountiful All Sufficient God.
Jeremiah 32:27
²⁷”I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”
Prophetic Utterance:
Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the majesty, and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Every thing about me proceeds from You and is established forever.
Halleluya.
