John 9:1-3 KJV
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Jesus is taking a walk on a normal day and He meets a blind man, blind from birth, John the Apostle highlights. Without focusing on the cause of the man’s blindness, Jesus interpreted the situation as an opportunity where the works of God would be manifested.
He sees an opportunity while the rest see a disadvantage, they even call it a curse. What do you do with what you see? What do you see? Do you see limitations, impossibilities or do you see opportunities for God’s glory to be manifested?
Jesus neither tried to understand the situation nor investigate it’s root cause. More so He didn’t ignore the man. He could have just kept walking. But He saw and stopped. This shows us the heart of God toward His people. He delights in the prosperity of His servants. (Psalm 35:27) God’s heart is focused on His people. He’s so mindful of them. You love God then love His people, feed them! (John 21:15)
Indeed, Jesus was about His Father’s business. It’s almost as if, He went out looking for opportunities to show off His father’s Glory. Today, we are to spend our days like Jesus. Everyday, live your life, conscious of the life of God in you and you’ll manifest His glory every where you go.
Isaiah 43:7 says; even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Jesus continued to say in John 9:4-5 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
It is written that in this world we are like Jesus!
(1 John 4:17) You are the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14) You are supposed to shine everywhere, you must light up the world, you must manifest His life here on earth.
Speak life, Heal, pray for random people, things, situations, pray at all times. That’s what Jesus did. Work the works of Him that sent you.
In John 11:4: When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
Lazurus was still sick when Jesus made the above statement. There was an opportunity & time for Him to go & heal his friend or even simply send a word through the people who brought the news of his sickness.
But Jesus didn’t, He stayed where he was long enough, for Lazarus to die so that the glory of God might be seen. His delay was on purpose. He arrived 4 days later after Lazarus’s body was decomposing (John 11:17 & 39).
John 11:37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
The world is waiting for your manifestation but do not conform to it. Focus on God. Imagine the same people who questioned & investigated the miracle of the blind man in chapter 9 are the very ones now telling Jesus what He should have done for Lazarus. Clearly Jesus was about His Father’s business and not the world’s expectation of Him. He used Lazarus’s death as an opportunity to reveal His other nature which is; the Lord of life, the life giver!
He fulfilled the word He had spoken of in John 10:10; I have come that they might may have life and that they might have it more abundantly.
When you are alert in Christ, anything can turn into an opportunity, even death!
Jesus said in John 17:22, “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.”
It’s important that you see yourself in this light. See yourself in, and as, the glory of God. And manifest it, that’s what you are called to do.
Prophetic Utterance:
I’ve been chosen of God to show forth His glory; therefore, I see myself in the glory, walking in the glory and manifesting it to the world. I diligently work the works of my Father, with my eyes fixed entirely on Him.
