Psalms 22:1-4
¹My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?²O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.³But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.⁴Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
Jesus severally refers to God as Father, this is indicative of the relationship they share, we are called to enjoy such a relationship like Elisha called Elijah.
2 Kings 2:12
And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
In verse 14, Elisha calls unto the God of his father, all the strength of Elisha was submitted to his father being that God operates in us by the principle of submission.
We see that in God’s continuity a fond relationship is established but it doesn’t show us a mushy kind of love, it’s one where authority and power is established.
God is God all by Himself, whether He be silent or not , whether the storm is raging high or not , He still remains on His throne, a Holy and loving but it is upto one to call unto to him be it to part the river Jordan or to redeem a sunken axe, or to heal poisoned people.
Everytime we manifest God’s authority/power we are to reminding men of God’s desire for all, the we remain perfect in his sight.
Men desire to hear sweet nothings by way of flatteries , compliments, words of affirmation, yet each time a miracle, healing, prophetic word is/are released, it is a sweet something from God, a reminder of His person/presence/provision toward us.
We are called to positions where it is our choice to enjoy the father’s graces by simply being conscious of who He is.
He is a loving father, when a child is born, the father welcomes them in his hands, the feel of a father, the excitement, though he be rough, there is a tenderness in his touch as considers You, protectively holding You. This is the point the Psalmist is saying,
Psalm 22:9
Yet You are He Who took me out of the womb; You made me hope and trust when I was on my mother’s breasts.
Despite what you re going through, He caused you to be birthed and nursed, He who surely brought you forth has surely pre-destined You and will do everything to keep your path straight, as surely as Jesus through afliction came out victorious, even so will you and i
Psalm 22:10
I was cast upon You from my very birth; from my mother’s womb You have been my God.
Your whole life is solely dependent on the father, He is the breath we need, the daily bread we need, the water that quenches, He is everything that has brought sustained us. He is the reason why you are. Your life is not dependent on anything else but on the Father, Whether your life is like this or like that , God is God. Only you keep your focus on Him , your trust deeply embedded in Him and you will break forth
…Though He cried, My God , My God , why have you forsaken me, He still reminds Himself with goodness and mercy, He is consistent thus reliable.
Psalms 22:22
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
Psalm 22:26
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
So beloved, keep trusting, keep reminding yourself of his past works, declare his praise, for his habitation is in your praise. Testify of His faithfulness, surely, surely your heart will be quickened forever and ever for indeed He is a good father.
Prophetic Utterance:
I have a father, He calls me His own , He will never leave me neither despise or abhor me even in my aflliction; neither has He hidden His face from me but when i cry to Him, He hears, from the end to the end I will remember and turn to the Lord, for His goodness and mercies endure forever .
