Ephesians 4:10
He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
Heavens in greek is ouranos-an elevated place/Sky
It has been printed into us that God lives in a place called heaven, (Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:)
Heavenly places is elevated places.
Luke 23:42-43
⁴²And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.⁴³And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Some say that the thief on the Cross went to heaven, the context is Gods Kingdom and it reigns here on earth too, and paradise is where we see Abraham with Lazarus the beggar (Luke 16:19-31)
Gods Kingdom is right here on earth as it is in Elevated places that many call heaven.
1 Thesalonians 4:17-18
¹⁶For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: ¹⁷Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
By extension the word sky is loosely used to mean heaven…we will meet Jesus in the air, not heaven like many will/would say.
Genesis 1:7-8
⁷And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.⁸And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
We see that even earth itself where waters divide is called heaven, id say the first heaven.
Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
We see another heaven that has stars, sun and moon that divide the seasons. Id say the second heaven.
2 Corinthians 12:2-4
²I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.³And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)⁴How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
We see a third heaven, which one do You want to go to!!
Psalms 104:1-
¹Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. ²Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
The Heavens where people think God is, is likened unto a Curtains…surely God is not there. God created the heavens and the earth in Genesis…I ask where was God when He was making heaven and earth!!
1 Timothy 6:16
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
